Rising from 4 employees in 1984 to over 200 in 2022, this family owned biscuit manufacturer is looking for a talented Team Manager to join their team to ensure that consumers can continue to crunch, munch and savour biscuits every day, all over the planet! (an estimated 100 million biscuits every year!)

We are looking for a Team Manager who has Continuous Improvement experience who wants to join the team in Lanark.

Your responsibilities -

  • Develop, train, support and empower your team to deliver excellent line performance, following Company goal setting and one to one procedures
  • Working on CI projects such as quality, down time and waste management
  • Responsible for driving the great place to work (GPTW) agenda within your area, facilitating team meetings, encouraging value led behaviours from colleagues, and actively participating in GPTW initiatives
  • Responsible for managing their team’s conduct and performance in line with Company policies and procedures, including absence management procedures, investigation and disciplinary procedures and probationary procedures
  • Responsible for putting relevant training plans in place, to ensure that all employees are suitably trained in line with training and induction procedures and that this is accurately recorded
  • Responsible for managing their team’s annual leave in line with relevant policies/procedures, approving and recording holidays to ensure that all production areas have suitable staffing levels in place
  • Responsible for managing staffing levels, breaks and task allocation for their team, escalating any issues to Production Management
  • Contributing towards continuous improvement activities throughout production
  • Responsible for production performance in there are, ensuring appropriate Performance Indicators (PI’s) are met, by contributing to and complying with the production strategy, escalating and resolving issues in collaboration with other departments and the Production Manager as appropriate
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant standards within their area, such as Health and Safety, GMP and Food Safety and Quality, through thorough recording and compliance with the appropriate programme of audits, ensuring all non-conformances are recorded and appropriate corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for delegating tasks fairly and within team members capability and that task rotations are undertaken in line with company risk assessments
  • Responsible for driving performance through leading Short Interval Control meetings for your team and accurately capturing data to produce end of shift reports
  • Responsible for line set-up for their team, ensuing compliance with the production plan and liaising with the planning team where required to make alterations
  • Accountable for ensuring adherence to Standard Operative Procedures
  • Contribute towards food safety measures as a key member of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) team
