What does an Engineering Assistant / Handy Person look like apart from performing practical tasks to make everyone else’s life easier?
A typical day to day will consist of walking around the factory observing, fitting parts, changing pneumatic fittings / pipes, completing minor repairs, and installing safety equipment.
Supporting the engineering manager, you will carry out small jobs that require specific knowledge or expertise such as fixing light sockets, repairing fixtures or fittings, repair furniture, move equipment, and conduct health and safety checks on both factory and office facilities.
To be successful for the role you will have practical experience in working with machinery and hydraulic equipment and be skilled in a broad variety of handy jobs, such as: completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs, and tackling a range of other practical tasks.
*Some duties may include some electrical work, so having the relevant experience is an advantage.
*Vocational experience or apprenticeship is desirable but not essential.
Full training on the job is provided.
