Our client is the largest integrated forestry business in the UK with a business turnover in excess of £650m. They are constantly working together to create a sustainable future for British forests and woodlands.
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, you will enjoy a broad-based accounting role, with responsibility for financial reporting and interaction with divisional teams across the group.
Specifically, some responsibilities of a Management Accountantinclude:
Weekly / Monthly Management Accounts
– providing timely management accounts for review and presentation to stakeholders.
Year-End Accounts
– manage detailed audit support in the UK, ensuring supporting reconciliations and records are available.
Balance Sheet reconciliations– responsibility for Balance Sheet reconciliations and quarterly Group VAT Return.
Financial Controls
– identifying and mitigating financial control risks, driving continuous process improvement in control environment.
Budgeting and Forecasting
– preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts with P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow for review and presentation to stakeholders.
Financial support– providing support to the Finance Team and wider business.
About You:
Already an experienced qualified/part-qualified Management Accountant, preferably from a Manufacturing / Production background, you are technically minded and demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships across a varied and growing business. In addition, you’ll have:
The ability to deliver timely, accurate, insightful and high-quality financial reporting, in a consistent and forward-looking manner.
Excellent IT skills, including a practical understanding of Microsoft packages.
The ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload, as well as identify and make improvements to existing processes in your sphere of expertise.
