We are hiring for packing operatives, a major part of the smooth running of the factory to ensure that all fans of this popular brand can be covering their hot crumpets in butter, every morning.

Your main duties as a packing operative will be:

  • Rotating between all areas on the lines

  • Monitoring quality standards and data capture on our system

  • Working as a member of a team to ensure packing targets are met and that all lines conform to safety quality standards.

  • To ensure metal detection procedure is followed and recorded and where possible and to make key decisions about packing without close supervision.

  • To monitor certain parts of the operation, to ensure the product is placed in the right box with the correct code, to plan in advance for changes and to co-ordinate with other members of the team.

  • Working to high food quality and hygiene standards.

  • Operating a fully automated plant, making quality products

  • Checking the product quality by process control

  • Cleaning of equipment and packing areas

  • Completing documentation for food safety and traceability

In your role as a packing operative, you will have:

  • Good organizational skills

  • Regulatory and legislative knowledge and experience ensuring compliance.
